Biography

Marci Exsted is a Research Coordinator at the Center for Applied Research and Educational Improvement at the University of Minnesota. She also contracts with the Minnesota Justice Research Center. Marci has an MSW (Community Practice concentration) with a public policy minor and a B.S. in Social Work.

Much of Marci’s research background consists of qualitative research related to equity, criminal legal system issues, and systematically marginalized groups.  Her interests heavily emphasize participatory methodologies - finding ways to uplift expertise from people with lived experiences to challenge and remedy the issues they face.
