CAREI District Assembly: A National Leadership and Systems Improvement Network

Organized by the Center for Applied Research and Educational Improvement (CAREI) at the University of Minnesota, District Assembly: A National Leadership and Systems Improvement Network enables district and state leaders to strengthen educational systems through executive-level professional learning, collaborative problem solving, implementation-focused networking, and evidence-based leadership support.

Rather than functioning as a traditional conference series, CAREI’s District Assembly serves as a continuous educational leadership network focused on the implementation of evidence-based practices, current educational policies, and sustainable systems change.

Single school = $650/year

Fewer than 2,000 students = $1,050/year

2,000 to 8,000 students = $1,500/year

8,001 to 20,000 students = $2,000/year

More than 20,000 students = $2,500/year

Session 1: The Canons of Literacy and Mathematics: What Every Educator Needs to Know

What knowledge and skills should all students master? How do we create coherence and aligned EBPs across curriculum, intervention, and assessment? Through this session, participants will leave with a process for evaluating the coherence of their literacy and mathematics systems, including curriculum, intervention and assessment: strengthening alignment around evidence-based practices, reducing fragmentation, and ensuring that instructional resources and initiatives support the knowledge and skills students need most.
