Biography

Jaime Burse works as a Literacy Specialist, where she is currently providing technical assistance and outreach services on the implementation of high-quality literacy instruction to local and state educational agencies.

Jaime began her career serving in public schools for 12 years as a classroom teacher, literacy coach, and reading specialist. She also served as the National Director of Virtual Coaching with The Reading League. In these roles, she demonstrated an ability to provide targeted instruction, accelerate student learning, and support teachers and administrators. She holds certifications in Elementary Education and K-12 Reading Education.

Jaime is passionate about ensuring all students, especially our most marginalized learners, have access to the social and economic opportunities that a mastery of literacy provides. She is also committed to equipping educators with the necessary knowledge and understanding required to implement instructional practices supported by findings from scientific evidence.
