Strategic. Evidence-Aligned. Systemic.

CAREIMath

Implement a coherent K-12 mathematics system by replacing fragmented math practices with a unified, sustainable, Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS)-aligned system.

About CAREIMath

CAREIMath is not a professional development series—it is a system implementation pathway designed to meet the complex challenges facing district math systems today. The CAREIMath pathway is built on four core principles that ensure your math system is cohesive, stable, and effective:

Role-specific impact and system sustainability

Drive consistency for directors of mathematics instruction, reduce fragmentation for leaders, and provide practical support for teachers.

What to expect with CAREIMath

CAREIMath supports district leadership teams, MTSS leads, special education administrators, principals, and educators seeking to install, scale, and sustain a high-quality mathematics system.

The Fundamental series is the essential five-module, 40-hour pathway designed to introduce your team to the principles of a coherent, MTSS-aligned math system. The modules are:

Module 1: Foundations of Equitable Mathematics Learning

Core principles of learning math, equity in math, math anxiety, student and teacher beliefs, and an MTSS system in math.

Module 2: Building Number Sense and Mathematical

Early number concepts, base ten understanding and place value, fractions and rational numbers, number operations and properties, number flexibility and decomposition, early algebra.

Module 3: Strengthening Mathematics Fluency, Vocabulary and Reasoning

Math language development, conceptual and procedural understanding, math fluency, multiple representations (CRA), instructional routines, facilitating discourse, classroom norms, productive struggle.

Module 4: Designing and Delivering High-Impact Math Instruction

Planning for implementation, Universal Design for Learning in Math, goal-setting, feedback, checking for understanding, curriculum adaptation and evaluation.

Module 5: Assessment for Intervention and Growth

Screening and progress monitoring in math, diagnostic assessment and error analysis, data-based individualization (DBI), acceleration and enrichment.
