Michelle Beauvais is a PreK-12 Literacy Specialist at the Center for Applied Research and Educational Improvement (CAREI) at the University of Minnesota. Michelle also supports implementation of the recently passed READ Act legislation. Michelle has worked as a Special Education teacher, Elementary teacher, Interventionist, Reading Specialist, Instructional Coach, and Literacy Coach. She has a B.A. in Special Education (LD and ID) and Elementary Education and a M.A. in Reading/Literacy Specialist. Michelle is also a Nationally Board Certified Teacher in the area of literacy.
