Mariah Mercil is the Literacy Implementation Lead for the Center for Applied Research and Educational Improvement at the University of Minnesota.

      Mariah Mercil is the Literacy Implementation Lead for the Center for Applied Research and Educational Improvement at the University of Minnesota. She is also a certified Minnesota Department of Education sponsored facilitator of Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling (LETRS). She worked as a teacher, instructional coach, and administrator at one of the two sites in the MN Transformation Zone project. She has a BA in Psychology and Elementary Education with a 5-8 Literature and Communication Arts specialty and MA in Educational Leadership.
