Biography

Kim Gulbrandson, Ph.D., is the Associate Director of Effective Practices and Evaluation at CAREI. Her role spans the Literacy, MTSS and Research Cores, and she supports evaluation endeavors. She began her education career as a school psychologist and has since supported various areas of education including curricula writing, professional learning, technical assistance, coaching, research and evaluation. Her areas of expertise include social-emotional learning, classroom management, bullying prevention, climate, mental health and MTSS. Kim’s work has encompassed the educational landscape, from individual schools to the national level, including district and state support.

More recently, her focus has been on bridging the research/evaluation-practice gap and translating research and evaluation findings into usable results for those most impacted by the data.
