Ellina Xiong joined the Center for Applied Research and Educational Improvement in 2019 as a research associate. She completed her doctoral degree at the University of MN in the Department of Educational Psychology in the Special Education Program and administrative license in the Department of Organizational Leadership, Policy and Development. Prior to joining CAREI, Ellina worked as a multi-tiered system of support (MTSS) data specialist, advanced learner parent educator, and school psychologist for Minneapolis Public Schools. She was also an Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) fellow, specializing in MTSS implementation. At CAREI, Ellina supports Statewide Services and professional learning opportunities.
